The evolution of smart learning:




As a new educational paradigm, smart learning bases its foundations on smart devices and intelligent technologies (Lee et al. 2014; Kim et al. 2011). This is described as technology-enhanced learning (TEL). TEL is used to provide flexibility in the mode of learning. With these adaptive learning technologies, learning platform reacts to individual learner data and adapts instructional resource accordingly based on cloud computing and learning analytics.




This growth of current technologies enables learners to see more effectively, efficiently, flexibly and well. Learners use intelligent devices to access digital resources through wireless web and to immerse in both personal and smooth education.This intelligent teaching model includes class-based specialized education, group-based cooperative learning, individual-based personalized learning and mass-based creative education. Moreover, the scientific structure of intelligent education, which emphasises the role of intelligent technology, is proposed.
For educational environment, ‘ smart ’ relates to attractive, smart and scalable. Smart educational environment will offer tailored and personalized education assistance (e.g . Environment awareness, adaptive knowledge, cooperative and interactive means, fast assessment and real-time response, etc.) To engage the individual into effective, efficient and purposeful education. From the generalities of other countries ’ smart education and the idea of intelligent, the concept of intelligent education is suggested. Zhu and He (2012 ) said that “ the significance of intelligent training is to make sophisticated environments by utilizing clever technologies, so that intelligent pedagogies may be facilitated as to provide personalized learning services and empower learners, And so talents of wisdom who have greater value position, higher thought level, and stronger conduct knowledge would be nurtured.





As the idea of smart city has been given more attention (Hollands 2008) , the requirements of intelligent training using intelligent city are encouraged. The general purpose of intelligent education under smart city building is to give every citizen personalized services and seamless education experience. Education occurs at anywhere and anytime and create lots of behavioral information of learners. How to combine this information of various scenarios in smart cities and develop data-centric intelligent training is a huge challenge to educators in order to provide seamless learning content and customized personal service for learners.


Through examining these intelligent training projects, we will see some generalities as follows. The purpose of intelligent education is to encourage workforce that masters twenty-first century knowledge and skills to fulfill the demand and challenge of community. Information technology plays an important part in the building of intelligent educational environments.
