Ghost of Tsushima is officially getting a PC port. After years of waiting for the game to make the jump like other first-party Sony titles, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sucker Punch Productions are finally bringing the game over to the PC platform. The port is being handheld by Nixxes Software which handles all of the PC ports for PlayStation games. Such as Horizon Forbidden West.

The game will launch on May 16 and players can already wishlist and pre-purchase the game. For PC players who are new to the game, Ghost of Tsushima follows the story of Jin Sakai. A samurai in a prominent family who must become “the Ghost” during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. Jin must struggle with the conflict of staying true to his honor as a samurai, or become the ghost to do what must be done to save his people and his country.

It was one of 2020’s best games and was universally recognized for its gorgeous visuals and robust photo mode. That being said, Ghost of Tsushima’s beautiful landscapes and picturesque scenes could only go so far on the PS4 and PS5. Now with a PC port, the game will look better than it ever has.

Ghost of Tsushima on PC will have tons of additional graphical settings

Just like the other PC ports of PlayStation titles, Ghost of Tsushima will have a wide variety of graphical settings not available on PlayStation consoles. For starters, the PC version of the game will support ultra-widescreen. More than that though, there will be support for three new aspect ratios. This includes 21:9, 32:9, and even 48:9 for those who have a triple monitor setup.

Beyond that, there will also be support for NVIDIA’s DLSS 3 and AMD’s FSR 3 Native AA. With extensive controller support available too, players won’t be locked down to the DualSense. However, the DualSense will provide a more immersive experience thanks to the adaptive triggers. That being said, you’ll be able to use Steam’s remapping feature to customize actions for the controller of your choice, Sony says. The game should also support mouse and keyboard inputs if you prefer those.

You can pre-purchase the game now on both Steam and the Epic Games Store for $59.99. This is also the Director’s Cut which comes with the Iki Island expansion in addition to the full game.
