Now that the Google Pixel 9 series is finally official, we also now know what countries each of these devices will be available in. For the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro (XL), they will be available in the usual set of Pixel countries.
Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro will be available in the US, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK, Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan.
That covers the majority of North America, and Europe, and some of the larger Asian markets. Unsurprisingly, it is not going to be sold in China. This is because every other Google product is banned in China right now, and that is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expanding
The original Pixel Fold was limited to four countries last year. That was the United States, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom. However, this year, Google is greatly expanding the availability of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Google is bringing the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to the US, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK, Australia, India, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan.
Not quite the full Pixel availability, but it is much more widely available than the original model was. Google is keeping the Pixel 9 Pro Fold at the same price (in the US); it’ll be $1,799, which also makes it $100 cheaper than the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the new OnePlus Open Apex edition that was announced last week. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will start at 256GB of storage and also offer a 512GB model while also improving the screen on both the front and inside the device. Those were some of the biggest complaints with last year’s model—particularly the main display, which was very glossy and not very bright.
