Samsung’s latest and greatest smartwatches are certainly excellent devices, but last year’s model, the Galaxy Watch 6, is still very good, and right now Amazon has an awesome deal on it. You can pick it up for just $200 for a limited time. The Galaxy Watch 6 normally costs $300 for this particular model which is the 40mm Bluetooth version.
This model will connect to your phone via Bluetooth for a data connection and it can connect to Wi-Fi for the same purpose. Even if you don’t have your phone on you. But you will either need your phone or a W-Fi network to use the data features. That being said, there is a limited-time deal on the LTE model as well. This version of the watch is on sale for $249 down from $350.
And honestly, if you don’t mind spending the extra $49, it’s the better value. The Galaxy Watch 6 runs on Wear OS 4 and it can do a lot of different stuff. Such as sleep tracking. You can then connect the watch data to the Samsung Health app and get insights about your sleep quality.
It obviously also tracks steps, and other sport activities like running, walking, cycling, swimming, weight lifting, and tons more. There’s also a heart rate sensor, and the watch can even take ECG readings for you. Plus there are all sorts of other nifty things like the music controls if you’re streaming on your phone.
Perhaps most useful are the Google Maps and Google Wallet apps. Google Maps in particular is great if you’re driving and you need directions. Because you can have the navigation pull up on the watch and easily check it. As well as have the navigation audio come through the watch speakers.
