Motorola is working on refreshing its popular Moto G lineup with next-gen models. According to reports, the Moto G 5G (2025) will be one of the mobile devices that the company will launch in the coming weeks. Now, a leak has revealed that the Moto G 5G (2025) will have a design heavily inspired by a Samsung mobile flagship from a few years ago.
Motorola’s Moto G 5G phones target a segment looking for access to fast mobile connectivity at affordable prices, and the 2025 model will be no exception. A simple yet functional and durable design typically reflects the cheap nature of these devices. However, the company could change things up a bit with its upcoming product that mimics the Galaxy S21 Ultra look, at least in its rear area.

Leaked renders, courtesy of 91mobiles and OnLeaks, show that the design of the Moto G 5G (2025) will be quite reminiscent at first glance of one of the most popular Galaxy flagships of recent years. The main similarity will be in the raised module surrounding the device’s camera sensors. However, the camera island on the Motorola phone will adopt a square shape, as it will house three sensors instead of five. Another small difference with the Galaxy S21 Ultra is that the camera island does not fully blend with the sides of the phone.
That said, the similarities with the Samsung flagship end in its rear area look. We can expect things like a plastic body and a thick bezel at the bottom of the display. Motorola will also adopt the recent trend of building the phone around a flat frame. The rear design is quite different from its predecessor, the Moto G 5G (2024). The latter used a rectangular camera island with only two sensors, which made it look cheaper.
According to the report, the Moto G 5G (2025) will have dimensions of 167.2 x 76.4 x 8.17mm. The thickness increases to 9.6mm in the area of the prominent camera bump. The device will have an audio jack, something that even some budget models are missing. Lastly, there are no details yet on the specifications of the phone. For reference, a humble Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip powers the Moto G 5G (2024), which also boasts a 120 Hz LCD display.
