Amazon-owned Ring appeared at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 with several announcements focused on everyday safety. It showcased its gadgets and services, such as home sensors, smarter app features, and broader network support. The company says that the updates are designed to make homes, cars, and neighborhoods easier to monitor. It combines simple hardware with software improvements to deliver alerts, coverage, and ecosystem tools to the users.

Ring showcases a new generation of connected sensors at the CES 2026

First and foremost, the company announced Ring Sensors, a new product family, at the show. It uses Amazon Sidewalk, a low-power network that helps devices stay connected over long distances. The devices include updated door sensors, window sensors, and glass break sensors. Further, Ring also introduced motion detectors, panic buttons, and a new OBD II car alarm for vehicles.

The pre-orders for the car alarm have already begun. The tech giant has also confirmed that most other products are planned for commercial release in March. The firm emphasizes that its new lineup is designed for easy setup and long battery life for daily use in many homes everywhere.

Amazon Sidewalk is expanding outside the United States

Apart from the product releases, Amazon also confirmed that its Sidewalk services will soon expand outside the United States. Canada and Mexico will be the first region to get access. More countries across the globe will get the feature in the coming months. This is strategic because it allows Ring devices to work even without a Wi-Fi network.

Moreover, Ring is also improving its app by adding new software features. A dedicated Ring Store is arriving soon, which lets the user find and buy third-party apps inside the main app. The company is also implementing AI to alert. Last but not least, Ring also announced its partnership with Watch Duty to support wildfire awareness. There’s a new Fire Watch feature that helps people share local fire and smoke updates. Users can voluntarily post information from their Ring cameras to assist others.
