Tecno is seemingly planning to announce a new foldable phone soon. That device’s name will be the Tecno Phantom V Flip, and its design has just surfaced.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip foldable phone is coming, and its design just surfaced
Do note that the design has been shared by a case maker. So, the phone itself is covered by a case, but we do get to see one important detail… its cover display. That cover display will be different than the ones we’ve seen thus far.
If you check out the gallery below, you’ll see that there is a circular panel on the back of the device. Around that display, you’ll see the device’s cameras. That entire island is centered on the back, on the phone’s upper portion.
Two cameras surround that display, and also an LED flash. This device will easily stand out thanks to this design, to be quite honest. The Huawei P50 Pocket had a circular cover display, but it was a lot smaller, and it looked entirely different in comparison.
These images also show us the phone’s power key, which will double as a fingerprint scanner. You’ll also see a Type-C USB port at the bottom of the device.
The Phantom V Fold arrived earlier this year
As a reminder, Tecno already launched a foldable smartphone this year, the Tecno Phantom V Fold. That handset was announced back in February this year, and was the company’s first foldable device. Well, its first clamshell is coming, and will be the second in line foldable phone from Tecno.
Having said that, we don’t have any information about its specifications, nor its price tag just yet. The Tecno Phantom V Fold had a rather competitive price tag, and the same is expected from the Phantom V Flip.
The Phantom V Fold includes a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC, along with two 120Hz displays, and 12 GB of RAM. Tecno didn’t use the latest RAM or storage, though, and the same is expected with the Phantom V Flip.
Chances are this phone will launch in the near future, this year for sure.
