Ulefone's New Rugged Phone Lets You Swap the Battery Without Interrupting Anything You're Doing

Ulefone has just launched another phone, the RugOne Xever 8. As you can see, this one is a member of the company’s RugOne family of affordable rugged devices.

The Ulefone RugOne Xever 8 offers next-level battery swapping

The RugOne Xever 8 comes with a hot-swappable battery and the so-called ‘Super Speaker’, as Ulefone calls it. It has plenty more to offer, though, so let’s talk about it.

This phone comes with a Swappable Battery 2.0. Why 2.0? Well, while the Xever 7 did offer a hot-swappable battery, the device got forced into a suspended, black-screen state that interrupted active tasks while swapping.

This time around, that’s not the case. The Xever 8 remains completely operational and active during a battery swap. You can keep talking, typing, streaming, or whatever else you’re doing without losing your progress. The phone also comes with a dual-layered hardware security system.

The phone also has the SonicX Super Speaker

This phone also has the aforementioned ‘Super Speaker’, the SonicX speaker. It has a 4.0cc sound cavity powered by a dual driver system. It can hit an 117 dB output, and it utilizes the SonicX AI algorithm for “crystal-clear voice enhancement, thumping bass, and 360-degree immersive surround sound.”

The RugOne Xever 8 is IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H certified. The phone also has a 64-megapixel main camera and a 20-megapixel Night Vision camera.

Ulefone included a 6.5-inch 120Hz display on this phone, while the MediaTek Helio G200 SoC fuels it. It has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Android 16 comes pre-installed, while Ulefone guarantees 3 years of major OS upgrades.

A 4,800mAh battery is included on the inside, while a TorchX flashlight is also a part of the package. The phone is eSIM compatible. You do get an extra 4,800mAh battery inside the retail box, by the way.
