Last week, Samsung started rolling out the March 2026 Android security update to the Galaxy S25 series and the latest Galaxy Z foldables in South Korea. The company has now released the March security update for the Galaxy S25 users in the US. The update doesn’t bring any new major features, but it focuses on fixing security issues and improving the overall system stability of these phones.

All Galaxy S25 models are getting the March Android security update in the US

At the moment, Samsung seems to have rolled out the March 2026 Android security update to the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S25 series in the US. All three Galaxy S25 flagships, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, are getting the new firmware update.

The size of the March security update for the Galaxy S25 series is around 580MB. It changes the firmware version to “S93xUSQS8BZBB.” Samsung is rolling out the new update over the air in a phased manner, so not all the devices will get it right away. You can do a manual check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

The update fixes 65 security issues

As we’ve mentioned above, the Galaxy S25’s new March update doesn’t come with any new features. However, it improves the phone’s security by fixing up to 65 security issues. Eight of these security vulnerabilities are critical. Notably, Google has released 60 of these fixes for Android, while Samsung has issued the other five itself.

Samsung and Google have marked 52 of these security vulnerabilities as high-level and three as moderate. These background fixes close known gaps in the Android OS that hackers could potentially use to access your information.

As of now, user reports on X suggest that only AT&T is offering the March Android patch to the Galaxy S25 series users in the US. More US telecom operators, including Verizon and T-Mobile, would kickstart the update’s rollout soon. Samsung will update a ton of other Galaxy devices in the coming weeks.
