If you were holding out for Samsung‘s most futuristic phone to date, the window of opportunity has officially slammed shut. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Z TriFold is now completely sold out across the United States following the latest restock.
Samsung pulls the plug on the Galaxy Z TriFold, now labeled as “limited run”
The news came via an update on Samsung’s official website, which now describes the device as a “limited-run” product. When the TriFold launched just a few months ago, it wasn’t explicitly marketed as a limited edition. However, after the final restock on April 10 vanished in minutes, it became clear that supply was never meant to meet the massive demand.
As 9to5Google reports, the device is no longer available online or at physical Samsung Experience Stores. The listing now directs disappointed shoppers toward the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or the Galaxy S26 Ultra as the next best alternatives.

The Galaxy Z TriFold wasn’t just another foldable. Its huge 10-inch inner display made it feel like a pocket-friendly tablet. It also pushed features like DeX to their limits, even aiming to replace laptops for some work areas. The production was likely limited from the start due to its complex dual-hinge design, making it a “unicorn” in the mobile world.
Is a sequel on the horizon?
While the current model is officially discontinued, the story of the TriFold might not be over. A recent supply chain report suggests that Samsung is already back at the drawing board. The company is working on an enhanced hinge for a potential second generation. These efforts aim at making the next iteration more durable and potentially more mass-market friendly. Still, as of today, we don’t have an official confirmation for a “TriFold 2.”
For those who missed out, the focus now shifts to the second half of the year. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the rumored “Galaxy Z Wide Fold” this July.
