Xiaomi 17T will launch globally on May 28th, considering the recent leak pans out. There will be two models in the lineup: the vanilla Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro. These will arrive as accessories to last year’s 15T lineup and are expected to bring some decent upgrades, which the leaks have so far hinted at. But a mega new Xiaomi 17T series leak, courtesy of promo images, leaves nothing behind, both in terms of design, features, and key specifications. As a bonus, we’re being treated to the prices.
Xiaomi 17T series promo images leak reveal complete design and key specs
Starting with the design, the Xiaomi 17T and 17 Pro look almost identical. The front is occupied by a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter and flat edges with slim bezels. The frame of the phones is rounded towards the edges, so it won’t hurt your hands even after prolonged use. The volume rocker and power buttons sit at a comfortable reach on the right edge.
Flipping to the rear, we see a square module in the top left corner to accommodate the camera module with the Leica branding. The LED flash is present outside the module. Then there’s the Xiaomi branding at the bottom. The speaker grille, USB-C port, and the SIM tray are present at the bottom. The leak doesn’t explicitly mention, but the Xiaomi 17T series seems to use an aluminum build, which should make them quite durable.
Xiaomi Smart Band 10 and Redmi Headphones Neo bundle
From the images, the Xiaomi 17T seems to arrive in purple/violet, white, blue, and black shades. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T appears in a slightly darker shade of purple/violet and blue.
The promo images show the Xiaomi 17T Pro bundle with Xiaomi Smart Band 10 and Redmi Headphones Neo. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 17T will just get the Redmi Headphones Neo bundle. It’s not clear whether these will be part of the pre-order perk or offered as a bundle. Either way, both these accessories are in white shade.
MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and a 7,000mAh battery
Moving along, the promo images also reveal specifications of the Xiaomi 17T series as well. The company is using the “Telephoto Master” tagline. As per the promo images, the Xiaomi 17T Pro will sport a 6.83-inch 144Hz eye-care display and pack a large 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, compared to the Dimensity 9400+ of the predecessor. It’ll boot HyperOS, likely based on Android 16, with a bunch of AI features. The phone will get a Leica Summilux optical lens and a Leica 5x telephoto lens with up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom for long-distance shots.
The Xiaomi 17T gets a smaller battery
On the other hand, the standard Xiaomi 17T will get a smaller 6.500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W fast charging support. It’ll rock the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip and sport a 6.59-inch 120Hz display. This too will get a Leica 5x telephoto lens and a Leica Summilux optical lens. It’ll boot HyperOS with AI features on board.
As for the price, tipster Sudhanshu, the source for the leak, says the Xiaomi 17T will cost €749 (~$872) for the 12GB/256GB model and €799 (~$930) for the 12GB/512GB variant. The Xiaomi 17T Pro will set you back by €999 (~$1,163) for the 12GB/512GB and €1099 (~$1,279) for the 12GB/1TB model. Consistent with the industry trend, the Xiaomi 17T series seems to be getting a notable price hike over its predecessor, which started at €649.99 and €799.99, respectively. Since this is just a leak, it’s better to take it with a pinch of salt.
